Why Maygarita
We're a small, family-run boat rental company based in Gaylord, right in the heart of Northern Michigan. From here we serve some of the best lakes around: Torch, Higgins, Charlevoix, and plenty of quiet water in between.
The name Maygarita is a play on the Maygar family and a good margarita. A big pour of Northern Michigan summer first, a splash of somewhere tropical second.
Best part: you don't have to come to us. We'll bring the boat to your lake, drop it off on the trailer, or have it waiting at the slip, whatever's easiest for your day on the water.
The Fleet

How You Get Your Boat
Skip the hassle of hauling. Pick the option that fits your day, and we'll sort the details when you book.
We bring the boat to the launch or a spot you choose and put it in the water. You just show up and step aboard. Mileage is figured at booking.
We drop the boat off on the trailer at your place and you launch it yourself. A great fit if you've got a ramp handy and like to do it your way.
The boat's already docked and waiting. We share the slip address, you walk down and climb aboard. The easiest way onto the water there is.
Prefer to grab it yourself? Come to our home base in Gaylord, hitch up, and you're on your way to the lake of your choice.

Good to Know
Michigan requires a Boater Safety Certificate for anyone born after June 30, 1996 operating a motorboat. If that's you, bring it along. We'll walk everyone through the basics before you head out either way.
Every rental comes ready to go. You get a clean boat with a full tank of gas, Coast Guard–required life jackets for every seat, dock lines, anchor, and a first-aid kit. Delivery, extra life jackets, tubes, fishing poles, and watersports gear can all be added when you book.

Plans change, and we get it. Cancel with enough notice for a full refund. The exact window and any weather policy are shown at checkout in the booking app.
We do. Based in Gaylord, we deliver across Northern Michigan to lakes like Torch, Higgins, and Charlevoix. Choose wet delivery (we launch it for you), dry delivery (we drop the trailer, you launch), or slip pickup where the boat's already docked. Options and any mileage are confirmed at booking.
